As an adolescent, my artistic journey was initiated in the realm of printmaking, where the acquired methodologies and techniques profoundly influenced my transition into painting and sculpture.

The method of screenprinting, particularly its emphasis on incorporating flat color planes and constructing images through multiple layers, resonates deeply with my current artistic approach. However, I discovered that painting offered an unfiltered, more immediate conduit for my creativity.

I am inherently captivated by the concept of abstraction, seduced by the liberation it promises. My work primarily draws inspiration from the audacious formal experimentation characterizing 20th-century abstract artistry in painting and sculpture.

My creative process is characterized by a meticulous layering, recalibration, and repainting, a dance I perform until a formal symmetry or equilibrium is born. I have a profound fascination with the movement of the viewer's eye across an image, envisioning each work as a landscape awaiting exploration.

My creative process is instinctive, beginning with an uncertain end in mind, allowing the process itself to manifest in the ultimate form of the work.

My pursuit of deeper understanding led me to undertake a degree in Fine Art in my twenties, subsequently culminating in a Master's degree in Sculpture. Over the recent years, I have found my artistic home at Cuckoo Farm Studios in Essex, a charmingly converted farm offering thirty studio spaces. Here, I have been able to fully devote myself to my passion as a full-time artist.
